Prannavan Surendran

Prannavan Surendran is pursuing an MA in applied strategy and international security at the University of Plymouth, co-delivered with the Bundeswehr University Munich. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich and has studied abroad at Yonsei University in South Korea and Kyushu University in Japan. He has gained practical experience at the German Institute for Japanese Studies in Tokyo and the Centre for Military History and Social Sciences of the German Armed Forces. He was an intern with the Japan Chair at the International Centre for Defence and Security in Tallinn. His research interests include Japanese foreign and security policy, Indo-Pacific geopolitics, and the comparative study of East Asian and European security dynamics.
