On 25 January, ICDS Research Fellow Tomas Jermalavičius delivered the opening lecture of Winter Course organized by the Institute of International Relations and Political Science of Vilnius University in cooperation with the Centre for Small States Studies of the University of Iceland.
He addressed the audience of graduate and post-graduate students as well as researchers from the universities of Estonia, Denmark, Iceland, Lithuania, Malta, Norway, UK and other countries on the topic of hybrid war as a challenge to security and defence of small nations. The course, entitled “Post Crimea security environment and small states”, provides a platform to discuss the security issues in Eastern Europe after the annexation of Crimea and its impact on small states.
