On Monday, 29 August 29, representatives of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence and the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces visited the ICDS.
They were welcomed by the Chief Executive Dmitri Teperik and Head of Studies Tomas Jermalavicius, who provided visitors with a comprehensive overview of Estonia’s defence and security policy as well as the ICDS’s role and tasks in national strategic communication. Many practical examples of conducting research-based strategic communication among different target audiences and countering hostile information operations in Estonia as well as Ukraine were discussed at the meeting. Also, Director of Estonia’s National Centre for Defence and Security Awareness Grigori Senkiv introduced to the Ukrainian colleagues various outreach and strategic communication activities of his organisation.
