The foreign policy course in Estonia has been blurred and it is no longer clear who is shaping it, commented Erkki Bahovski, editor-in-chief of ICDS Diplomaatia magazine, to the National Public Broadcasting (ERR) News portal on 24 July.
Bahovski noted that the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Center Party Jüri Ratas affirmed the continuation of the current principles, i.e. Estonia’s membership in the European Union and NATO, cooperation with its partners and firm attitudes towards Russia. “But EKRE politicians have questioned it not only in words but also in action,” the foreign policy expert added.
