Erkki Bahovski, editor-in-chief of ICDS Diplomaatia magazine, commented on the meeting of Prime Minister Jüri Ratas with his British colleague Boris Johnson in ETV (Estonian Public Broadcasting, ERR) news programme “Aktuaalne Kaamera” on 5 August, considering it rather a courtesy visit.
“The fact that Jüri Ratas was the first foreign leader to meet Boris Johnson as prime minister was a pure coincidence. Because Jüri Ratas had traveled to the UK on vacation and had previously announced his wish to meet Johnson, Johnson also found this free time,” Bahovski said.
