ICDS Research Fellow Helga Kalm Spoke on Uudis+ about the Breaking of Diplomatic Relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia

Kalm said that Saudi Arabia is worried about the changing power structure in the Middle East and is worried about US rapproachment with Iran. Iran in turn has shown yet again that it is incapable of securing the safety of diplomatic missions on its territory. The most negative side effect of the current rise in tensions is the impact the fight will have on the Syrian conflict.
