Cyber Security Capacity in the Eastern Partnership Countries

On 16-19 May ICDS Research Fellow Piret Pernik conducted interviews with Georgian government officials in order to assess the cyber security capacity building in the country.

The assessment of six Eastern Partneship countries will be presented to the EU ministers at a conference that takes place during the Estonian Presidency of the EU in the second half of this year. Interviews in Tbilisi were conducted with the Cyber Security Bureau of the Georgian Ministry of Defence, the Data Exchange Agency, and the State Security and Crisis Management Council. ICDS has undertaken the project in cooperation with the Estonian e-Governance Academy. Up to now research teams have visited in addition to Georgia Ukraine and Moldova, and the rest of the countries will be visited in June.
