Koen Claessen is a graduate of the International Master in Central and East European, Russian and Eurasian Studies, a joint programme of the University of Glasgow, the University of Tartu, and Ilia State University in Tbilisi. He is a former intern at ICDS and recently completed a traineeship in the Eastern Partnership and Russia Division of the European Parliament. His research interests include connectivity and regional security in the South Caucasus, and Azerbaijani foreign policy.
