The headlines of the past decade vividly demonstrate the ability of Western institutions and national Armed Forces to respond quickly and effectively to crises both on and far from the European Continent. With the NATO Response Force now fully operational, this ability is now systemic, with a force of up to 25,000 flexible and high-quality troops capable of deploying within five days.
