The Estonian Atlantic Treaty Association and the International Centre for Defence Studies organised a summer school for teachers from russian schools in Estonia on the topic Developments and Challenges in the State of Estonia. The summer school took place from 22-24 August 2007 at the Conference Centre of the Laulasmaa Resort. The working format was lectures and workshops. Topics discussed included the problems confronting education in Estonia, options for its development and ways to achieve more effective cooperation between the different institutions involved and with civil society. Other topics included state administration, the role and security of the state, international relations, history and estonian and russian literature. Members of the Parliament, ambassadors and opinion leaders in Estonia were among the speakers.
