Presentation of Global Terrorism Index 2016

Global Terrorism Index (GTI) is published by the Institute of Economics and Peace and provides a comprehensive summary of the key global trends and patterns in terrorism with a special emphasis on how to effectively address the threat of terrorism.

The 2016 publication is its fourth edition covering the period of 2000-2015 and drawing upon the Global Terrorism Database – the most comprehensive set of terrorist activity globally that includes more than 150,000 terrorist incidents.
The event will be opened by Ms Anneli Vares, Counsellor of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs responsible for counter-terrorism policy co-ordination.
GTI 2016 will be presented by Mr Serge Stroobants, European Representative of the Institute for Economics and Peace.
The event will take place on Thursday, 9 February, at 15:00-17:00 hrs., in the conference hall of the ICDS, 63/4 Narva Rd., East Building of the Kadriorg Business Centre, Tallinn (www.icds.ee/contact).
