Piret Karus joined the International Centre for Defence Studies in February 2013 as a project assistant tasked with providing technical support to the Estonian National Defence Course.
Previously, Piret has mostly handled personnel and administrative work in both the private and public sectors. Before joining the ICDS, she worked at the Personnel Department of the Estonian Ministry of Defence, including three years in foreign service as a registry official at Estonia’s Permanent Representation to NATO. She has studied social work administration at the University of Tartu Pärnu College.
Piret was born on 20 May 1975 in Hiiumaa.
