On 22 April, the International Centre for Defence Studies hosted NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, who delivered a keynote speech entitled, “On Alliance Solidarity in the 21st Century”. The speech was part of a foreign policy seminar organised by ICDS. The Secretary General is visiting Tallinn for the Informal Meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers.

The Secretary General’s speech was followed by a panel discussion “Solidarity and Security: within NATO and beyond it” featuring Jaak Aaviksoo (Minister of Defence of Estonia), Carl Bildt (Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden), Nikolay Mladenov (Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria) and moderated by Edward Lucas from The Economist.
