ICDS Hosted a Briefing for “KAVAKU 38“

On 28 January 2015, ICDS hosted a briefing for “KAVAKU 38“, an Annual Training Course for Finnish Diplomats, who visited Tallinn as part of their training to meet with Estonian officials and researchers.

The Course, altogether 28 participants, was led by Ambassador Mikko Jokela and assisted by Ms. Päivi Alatalo and Mr. Vesa Lehtonen. The Finnish Embassy in Tallinn was represented by Ms. Heli Kanerva, Minister Councellor, and Commander Jussi Vuohelainen, Finland’s Defence Attaché to Estonia.
The briefing was opened by Mr. Martin Hurt, Deputy Director of ICDS, and the briefers were Piret Pernik (cyber issues), Anna Bulakh (energy security), Maksym Bugriy (situation in Ukraine) and Pauli Järvenpää (Mare Nostrum). The briefings were followed by a lively discussion.
