ICDS will be present at Paide Opinion Festival and debate on several timely topics.
Kristi Raik, the Director of Estonian Foreign Policy Institute at ICDS will moderate the panel “Estonia in the UN Security Council” on Friday, the 13th of august at 14:00-15:30 at the stage “Meie riik” (“Our state”). The debate will take place in Estonian.
Tomas Jermalavičius, the Head of Studies of the ICDS will moderate the debate (in English): “Taking security for granted? #NATO and the Baltic states” on the 13th of August at 18:00-19.30 at Nordic Talks stage. The panel is organized by ICDS and British Embassy Tallinn. Participants include Indrek Sirp (Director of the National Security and Defence Coordination of the Estonian Government Office), Matthew Hing (British Defence Attaché to Estonia) and Kadi Silde (Undersecretary for Defence Policy at the Estonian Ministry of Defence).
The Estonian Foreign Policy Institute in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organizes a panel entitled “Estonia and Finland in common digital language space” on the 13th of August at 18:00-19.30 at Naabersuhete ala (Neighbourly Relations stage). Participants:: Tanel Alumäe (TalTech), Rain Kooli (ERR and YLE), Pekka Myllylä (Tilde), the debate will be moderated by Jaak Aaviksoo.
Ivo Juurvee, the Head of Security & Resilience Programme of ICDS will discuss the impact of environmental problems to security on the 14. of august 2021 at 12:00-13:30 at “Turvatunde ala” (Safety stage) in Estonian.
The two panels organized by ICDS and EFPI at ICDS will be livestreamed at respective Facebook channels on Friday, the 13th of August at 18:00-19.30.
