Executive course on digital affairs, e-governance and cyber security

ICDS organized an executive course on digital affairs, e-governance and cyber security.

Two-day pilot course, which took place on April 16th to 17th, gathered together 30 opinion-leaders and opinion-makers from journalism, politics, business and other facets of life.

Lecturers came from Estonian Information Systems Authority (RIA), NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE), Tallinn Technical University and Tartu University. The topics covered during these 2 fully packed days were:

  1. Fundamentals of technology;
  2. Digital society;
  3. e-governance;
  4. Society and developments in technology;
  5. Future of technology;
  6. Threat actors and Estonian cyber threat landscape;
  7. Cyber-crime;
  8. State actors in cyberspace;
  9. Cyber defence in Estonia;
  10. Role of NATO and the EU in securing the cyber-space;
  11. International law;
  12. Communications.

The course was opened my Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology Urve Palo and an evening discussion round featured President of the Republic of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid.

The course was supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, RIA and CCDCOE.
