On 27 September ICDS Research Fellow Piret Pernik participated as a speaker at the International Security Experts Conference “Eastern Partners in European Security and Defence – Putting EU Global Strategy into Practice” that was held on 26-28 September 2017 in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The panel focused on building resilience and security of the societies and it was moderated by Brian Whitmore, Senior Russia Analyst, Radio Free Europe Radio Liberty. Other panellists included: Matti Saarelainen, Director, European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats, Finland; Oleksandr Sukhodolia, Head, Energy Security and Technogenic Safety Department, National Institute for Strategic Studies, Ukraine; Jakub Kalensky, East StratCom Task Force Member, EEAS.
