ICDS held a seminar based on a new book: Critical Infrastructure in the Baltic States and Norway: Strategies and Practices of Protection and Communication.

The event took take place on 7 December at the ICDS.


The book takes on the comparative examination of critical infrastructure protection in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Norway, exploring the following issues:

  • How do the similar yet different NATO and European Economic Area countries approach the protection and communication of critical infrastructure?
  • What lessons can be drawn from the experience of each country, how do they compare and how can the best practices be employed in the ongoing efforts of the European Union to enhance critical infrastructure protection policies?
  • How can societies be better involved in supporting the authorities in their efforts in ensuring the smooth functioning of critical infrastructures and critical services?
