Brexit – Eight Months since Triggering Article 50, Opportunities and Challenges

On 30 November, ICDS was pleased to host Anna Clunes, Director for Institutions and Member States at the UK’s Department for Exiting the EU, for a seminar to discuss the state of play of the Brexit negotiations.

It has been eight months since the UK triggered Article 50, notifying the Council of its intent to leave the Union, and eighteen months since the UK’s Brexit referendum. Ms Clunes discussed the progress in the negotiations and the UK’s aspirations for its future relationship with the EU, in particular on issues of trade and future cooperation on security and defence.
