Minna Ålander is an Associate Fellow at the Chatham House Europe Programme, a Non-resident Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) Transatlantic Defence and Security Programme, and a Senior Fellow at the Stockholm Free World Forum. Previously, she worked as a Research Fellow at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs (2022-24) and as a Research Assistant at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (2019-22). Her research focuses on Northern European and Arctic security, Nordic defence cooperation, NATO, as well as wider European security. Her expertise also includes German foreign, security, and defence policy.
