Kata Varblane is Director of the Tallinn Digital Summit, where she leads strategy, programming, and international outreach. Her work focuses on convening global leaders from government, business, and technology to address emerging digital governance challenges and opportunities, while highlighting Estonia’s experience as a leading digital society.
Her professional background lies at the intersection of branding, communications, and international engagement, with a focus on how digitalisation, automation, and AI shape economic competitiveness and public-sector innovation. She works on translating digital transformation agendas into strategic narratives and collaborative platforms that connect policymakers, industry, and civil society.
Prior to joining the Summit team, Kata served as Director of Country Promotion at Enterprise Estonia, where she led the development of Estonia’s country brand and coordinated international marketing and communications across tourism, investment, trade, talent, startup, and e-Residency portfolios. Earlier in her career, she held roles at the Estonian Investment Agency, Bolt, the design agency Velvet, and NASDAQ Tallinn.
Kata holds a master’s degree in communication from the University of Tartu and a BBA from Estonian Business School.
