Heather Grabbe

Dr Heather Grabbe is Senior Fellow at Bruegel, the Brussels-based economics think-tank, as well as Visiting Professor at University College London. Politico ranked her highly on its list of “The Women Who Shape Brussels” while she was director of the Open Society European Policy Institute in 2009-22. Previously, she was Senior Advisor to European Commissioner Olli Rehn, responsible in his Cabinet for EU policy on the Balkans and Türkiye. Dr Grabbe was deputy director of the Centre for European Reform in London, conducted academic research at the European University Institute, Chatham House, Oxford and Birmingham universities, and taught at the London School of Economics.
