Brigid Laffan

Brigid Laffan is Chancellor of the University of Limerick and an Emeritus Professor at the European University Institute (EUI), where she formerly served as Director of the Robert Schuman Centre. She is President of the European Policy Centre in Brussels. Her recent publications include The EU’s Response to Brexit: United & Effective (with Stefan Telle, 2023), Escaping the Politics Trap: Exercising Collective Power (2024), and Collective Power Europe (Government & Opposition, 2023). She has received multiple lifetime achievement awards, including from UACES (2014) and EUSA (2022), as well as the Royal Irish Academy Gold Medal in the Social Sciences (2023).
