Asees Ahuja

Asees Ahuja is Director for EU Policy at the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise (Svenskt Näringslivv), the biggest industry and employer organisation representing 60 000 companies in Sweden. In this capacity, Ms Ahuja has pioneered the work of the Confederation on the business and economic impact of enlargement from a Swedish perspective. Ms Ahuja has previously held leadership roles in the Swedish civil service, most recently as Deputy Director General at the Prime Minister’s Office and as Head of the International Secretariat at the Ministry of Environment and Energy. She has also served as Head of the India and South Asia Unit at the OECD in Paris. Ms Ahuja has a background as a Senior Expert in social and financial market policies at the OECD in Paris, the European Commission in Brussels, and at the Ministry of Social Affairs in Stockholm.
