Aivo Orav

Aivo Orav is Ambassador and Head of the European Union Office in Kosovo / European Union Special Representative. Previously, he served as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Estonia to the European Union and held senior EU ambassadorial roles in Montenegro and North Macedonia, as well as postings as Estonian ambassador in Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Lebanon, Poland, Romania, and Bulgaria. Mr Orav has also served as Political Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia and in senior security and international policy roles. He holds degrees from the University of Tartu and the Estonian School of Diplomacy and has completed advanced training at the Marshall Center and through the UN Disarmament Fellowship Programme.
