Susan Glasser

Susan Glasser is a staff writer at The New Yorker, where she writes a weekly column on life in Washington. Glasser has served as the top editor of several Washington publications; she was the founding editor of the award-winning Politico Magazine, serving throughout the 2016 election cycle. She previously served as the editor-in-chief of Foreign Policy.

Glasser is also an acclaimed writer. Her latest book, co-authored with her husband Peter Baker, The Man Who Ran Washington (Penguin Random House, September 2020), was named a Best Book of the Year by The New York Times, The Washington Post, Fortune and Bloomberg. This biography of James A.
