Last week, the 2018 Annual Cyber Security Assessment of the Estonian Information System Authority (RIA) was presented at the ICDS. The presentation of the Assessment was followed with an in-depth conversation over the findings with the Director General of RIA, Mr Taimar Peterkop, and the RIA’s Head of Analysis and Policy, Mr Hannes Krause.

On April 4 Sven Sakkov, Director of ICDS, moderated a panel “NATO-EU Cooperation in Countering Hybrid Threats — From Past Origins to Future Prospects” at the sixth “NATO-EU Roundtable” organised by the Estonian Atlantic Treaty Organisation in cooperation with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and NATO Headquarters.
In 2015, the Baltic states declared their intent to withdraw from the BRELL agreement and desynchronize their power grids from the IPS/UPS synchronous area to which they still belong as part of the legacy of Soviet occupation.
