Seminar: The role of Sweden in the world security

On Tuesday, April 1, Mr Urban Ahlin, a well-known Swedish social democrat, discussed the role of Sweden in the world security at a seminar held at the International Centre for Defence Studies.

On Tuesday, April 1, Mr Urban Ahlin, a well-known Swedish social democrat, discussed the role of Sweden in the world security at a seminar held at the International Centre for Defence Studies.
Urban Ahlin represents the Swedish Social Democratic Party and he has been a member of the Riksdag (the Swedish Parliament) since 1994. In addition, he has been involved in international politics for years, gaining recognition for his public advocacy of democracy and human rights. He was the chairman of the Riksdag’s Foreign Affairs Committee until the elections of 2006. Now, he is the foreign policy spokesperson for the largest opposition party.
