ICDS supported the Baltic-Russia Youth Forum in Latvia

Piret Pernik, a Research Fellow, ICDS, moderated on 27 September 2018 a discussion panel entitled “Cyber security and NATO’s cooperation with the EU” at the Baltic-Russia Youth Forum in Jurmala.

The panel featured Urmas Paet, a Member of the European Parliament, Siim Alatalu, a Head of International Relations, NATO CCD COE, and Bruno Lété, a Senior Fellow, Security and Defense, the German Marshall Fund of the United States. The forum focused on also topics such as NATO-Russia relations and their future perspectives, hybrid threats regarding Russia’s influence on the Baltic States. 46 young professionals from 13 countries took part of the forum that was organised by the Estonian Atlantic Treaty Association in cooperation with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, NATO Headquarters, Estonian Ministry of Defence, Baltic-American Freedom Foundation, Latvian Transatlantic Organisation, and Think-tank Eurus.
