ICDS Chief Executive Dmitri Teperik and Head of Studies Tomas Jermalavicius participated in the international workshop on societal security research, organised by the Nordic Council of Ministers and NordForsk in Riga, Latvia on August 31 – September 1, 2016.
The aim of the workshop was to develop a possible regional research cooperation to understand the current debates on societal security in the Nordic and Baltic countries. Around 30 experts of the societal security field discussed where are the needs and challenges on the topic from a stakeholder’s perspective and how a NB8 research cooperation can fill these gaps. Based on the recommendations from the ICDS representatives, the following topics will be included into cooperation model: cyber defence, media and national resilience.
