Taavo Lumiste is a diplomat at the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a healthcare expert for the Permanent Mission of Estonia in Geneva; from 1 July he will also be the healthcare coordinator for the Europe Region (53 countries) in Geneva. He has been involved for years with security policy, aspects of which are relevant to his current field of work—economy and development, including healthcare diplomacy. The development strategies of countries is also the topic of the author’s doctoral thesis, currently in preparation. /2015
