Dr Mykola Nazarov currently works as a director of the Research Centre for Regional Security based at Sumy State University (Ukraine). He is a Civil Security for Society Programme Committee observer for Programme Horizon Europe (Brussels, Belgium). In 2021-2023, he was an expert for the “Resilient Ukraine” programme supported by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has participated as a speaker in dozens of international conferences and seminars and is a frequent contributor to debates in Ukrainian and international media. He is an associate professor at Sumy State University, engaged in analytical work on behalf of Ukrainian and foreign institutions.
