Justinas Juozaitis

Dr Justinas Juozaitis is a policy analyst at the Centre for Defence Analysis, General Jonas Žemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania, and a lecturer at the Faculty of Political Science and Diplomacy, Vytautas Magnus University.

Before joining the Lithuanian Military Academy, Justinas was a junior researcher at the Energy Security Research Centre. In 2016-2019, he participated in the Future Energy Leaders (FEL-100) programme at the World Energy Council, where, among other things, he contributed to the development of the World Energy Issues Monitor. He was also a fellow at the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence from October 2020 to March 2021, where he researched the threats posed by Russia to the Baltic states’ synchronization with the Continental European Network.

Justinas currently participates in a research project on security and defence processes in the transatlantic space, focusing on European strategic autonomy and German foreign and security policy. A recipient of multiple scholarships for academic achievements from the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, Justinas has written papers for the Atlantic Council, Royal United Services Institute, NATO ENCEC COE, Baltic Rim Economies Review and others.
