Ivan Vartovnyk joined the team of Resilient Ukraine programme in 2021. Starting as an intern he was soon promoted to a status of a project manager. In 2022, he became Resilient Ukraine programme project coordinator. Before joining the ICDS programme, he completed internships in leading Ukrainian think tanks, including VoxUkraine, the Centre for Economic Strategy, and the Foreign Policy Council “Ukrainian Prism”. He also worked as a Countering Disinformation Program assistant at the National Democratic Institute (NDI Ukraine), as a part-time junior researcher at the Centre for Sustainable Peace and Democratic Development (SeeD) as well as an analyst at Ukrainian NGO “IDemocracy”. Ivan’s professional focus is related to the ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC), especially with regard to ASEAN’s cooperative security. He also is interested in media literacy and tackling disinformation in Ukrainian media environment. He holds a MA in International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine.
