Artūrs Bikovs is a doctoral student of political science at Riga Stradiņš University, where he studies the role of the Russian Orthodox Church in Russian foreign policy in the post-Soviet space. Mr. Bikovs also earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the RSU international relations program. His thesis analysed Russia’s interference in the elections of other states and Russia’s role in the Eurasian Economic Union. His academic interests include Russia’s domestic and foreign policy, the Russian Orthodox Church, and the countries of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia.
