Anna Bulakh among the featured lecturers at the PSSI and MUNI Intensive Energy Security Course

ICDS Junior Research Fellow Anna Bulakh was among the featured lecturers at the Intensive Energy Security Course “Central Europe’s Energy Crisis Preparedness,” an intensive energy security course co-sponsored by the Prague Security Studies Institute (PSSI) and Masaryk University, on February 10-11.

Bulakh delivered two lectures entitled “Crisis in Ukraine: Implications for Energy Security” and “Energy Diversification in the Baltic Region”.
The course gathered a number of distinguished guests such as Václav Bartuška, Ambassador-at-Large for Energy Security at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with a lively discussion about the role of diplomacy in solving energy crisis. Petr Zajíček from NET4GAS, the Czech gas transmission system operator, delivered a lecture on gas shortage preparedness of the Czech Republic, while Pavel Šenych from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and former chairman of Shell’s Board of Directors discussed oil security and the refinery industry in the Czech Republic.
